Amazing Green Planet opened in October, 2008 as the first green general retail store in Louisville. Dustin, Mary and Randy Baron own and operate it, which features eco-friendly, fair trade and locally-made gifts and products for the home. They are all native Louisvillians, striving to keep their hometown environmentally aware.

Dustin graduated from Ballard High School in 1999. He studied at the University of Louisville, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. He’s a poker expert (although he doesn’t have much time to play these days) and avid musician. You can find him around the city playing the mandolin with his band. Dustin has always been interested in environmental issues and he’s trying to make a difference one step at a time.

Mary and Randy founded and owned Baron Barclay Bridge Supplies for over 30 years. They took a small mail order business operating out of their garage and made it into the largest supplier on the game of bridge in the world. They love to travel, so after exploring the world for several years, they decided the time was right to open Amazing Green Planet, along with this web site which complements the retail store.

Randy was president of Baron Barclay and in his spare time he authored over 20 books on bridge, the history of basketball, fantasy sports and horse racing. He is also a bridge expert, award-winning teacher and columnist.

When not in the store, Mary enjoys working in her garden, playing tennis, and spending time with her family.
